Privacy policy

This privacy policy informs you about the collection and processing of your personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) and – if you are an EU resident – the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. What data do we collect?

When you use our contact form or request a technical visit, we collect:

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Postal address of your project
  • Information about your building (type, roof, project)
  • Optional message

This data is transmitted solely on your own initiative.

2. How do we use your data?

  • Processing your request (contact, scheduling a visit, preparing a quote).
  • Contract management if you commission the works (invoicing, warranty tracking, maintenance contracts).
  • Service improvement (anonymised statistical analysis).

Your data is never sold or transmitted to third parties for advertising purposes.

3. Where and how long is your data stored?

Your data is hosted on Swiss servers (Infomaniak SA, Geneva), protected by HTTPS/TLS encryption. It is retained for the duration necessary for processing, and at least:

  • 3 years after last contact for prospects (enquiry without contract)
  • 10 years after contract end for customers (legal retention obligation)

4. Your rights

Under FADP and GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access data concerning you
  • Rectification of inaccurate data
  • Erasure of your data (right to be forgotten)
  • Restriction of processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdrawal of consent at any time

5. Cookies

This website uses only technical cookies necessary for its operation. No tracking cookies, no advertising or third-party analytics. Your privacy is fully respected.

General Terms & Conditions

The following conditions govern all relations between Swiss SunTech LLC and its customers. By accepting a quote, you acknowledge these terms.

1. Quote and order confirmation

Each quote is valid for 30 days and is only issued after a free technical on-site visit. It becomes binding only after written customer signature and receipt of the deposit.

2. Payment terms

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • 30% upon order confirmation
  • 40% at the start of works
  • 30% after commissioning

Invoices are payable within 30 days from the date of issue. Late payment interest of 5% under the Swiss Code of Obligations is due from the due date.

3. Warranties

  • Photovoltaic panels: manufacturer warranty up to 30 years (performance warranty 25 years, product 12–25 years depending on brand)
  • Inverters: 10 to 25 years manufacturer warranty
  • Batteries: 10 to 15 years manufacturer warranty
  • Swiss SunTech installation warranty: 5 years on workmanship

4. Force majeure

Swiss SunTech LLC cannot be held responsible for delays due to force majeure (weather, municipal permits, supplier delays, grid operator availability). Any complaint must be made in writing within 8 days of observation.

5. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Swiss law. In the event of a dispute, the exclusive jurisdiction is the courts of Geneva, subject to mandatory consumer protection provisions.
